Family Outdoors was established in July of 2021 in Orange County, California. The idea for the organization surfaced because many outdoor experiences are unaffordable for most families due to how many live below the low-income line. A small group of individuals decided they wanted to help the outdoors become more accessible for everyone by giving families the opportunity to grow closer together without having the stress of a financial barrier.
We are here to help families grow together by connecting them to the outdoors through exciting adventures they would not get to experience without outside help. Through generous gifts and donations, we will be able to cover a significant portion of the cost of each adventure.
Our most important goal is to provide families with a growing experience that will leave a lasting impact on their lives.
We hope to serve 100 low-income families within the first year of operation.
We hope to raise $150,000 within our first year.
